Robin Gale

CEO of The Wave Group, leaders in international OEM-ODM and own-brand watches, bags and promotional merchandise, I have been involved in the design, production and supply of merchandise since leaving college and joining the family manufacturing business (Gale Melville Ltd.) in 1970.

I was appointed Sales Director of the company in 1974 and travelled to Hong Kong and Taiwan in 1976, to set up supply partnerships. I was a founder of the Europa watch and design global licensee partnership, before setting up a joint venture partnership in the manufacture of promotional sports/travel bags in 1990.
My years of experience and accumulated expertise in this field has allowed me to stay ahead of the curve when sourcing appropriate manufacturing outlets throughout China and Southeast Asia.

Those we use for production of The Wave Group’s own branded fashion accessories, as well as commissioned products, have also been approved by a high-profile blue-chip client list including Kelloggs, Pepsi, Virgin, Unilever, BBC and Disney. All factories benefit from tight in-house QC and undergo regular social audits.

My career has also provided me with extensive experience in developing large international brands across a range of markets, creating brand strategy and identity, and implementing key-task analysis. I believe my success to-date can be attributed to an ability to provide innovative solutions, and deliver products which define and encapsulate the client’s brand.
