Radiators
The heat is on
It’s currently necessary to remove radiators for lots of reasons. Maintenance, cleaning, replacing and decorating, all of which would require a drain down and re-fill. It’s messy, time consuming and wastes a lot of precious water.

Tap into the future with Mikk Valve
Invest in a more positive future
Leaking pipes and taps result in 60% of the water loss worldwide. The Mikk Valve delivers a simple, effective device that can contribute to reduction in wastage savings and conservation as a result. This is an opportunity to invest in an environmentally responsible project while maximising profit.
Mikk Valve is already fully patent protected across Europe, USA, Africa and Asia. We are currently seeking partnerships with companies/organisations or individuals in the sector to sell the IP or enter franchise arrangements that will generate an income in perpetuity.
The Mikk Valve Tap (MV1)
An existing tap is guaranteed to fail – it’s not a matter of if but when. Washers wear, and although they can be replaced, the procedure is often time consuming and complex. The valve that releases the fluid and the switch mechanism that turns the flow on and off are housed within the tap, so if there’s a fault, the whole piece needs replacing.
The Radiator Mikk Valve (MV2)
When a radiator leaks, the consequences can be much more serious than a dripping tap and the procedure to isolate a fault can be daunting. Radiators also have to be removed for maintenance, cleaning, replacing and decorating.
Invest in Mikk Valve
Water is our most precious resource, central to the development, production and preservation of almost all the products and services that we need today. Finding a sustainable solution to the conservation of water worldwide is vital.
Facts & Stats
Dive in and explore our statistics.
A cold tap that drips at one drip a second loses 33 litres of water a day or as much as 12,000 litres (12m3) per annum.
Assuming that a property needs a new boiler or TRV etc only once every ten years, which is a conservative estimate, we calculate below the savings in lost water and maintenance time with the installation of Mikk valves.
On average, each of the 22.24 million homes in the Uk that are heated with Central Heating systems, have six radiators. It is anticipated that each radiator would require an average of 15 minutes (1.5 hours). Draining a refilling typical system requires approximately an hour. There may be some savings when servicing multiple systems but these will be minimal and dependant on the locations haven’t been built into the calculations.
Figures are calculated for a single household, a housing association with a portfolio of 10,000 properties and a Maintenance Contractor with a portfolio of 500,000 properties;
Single household – 2.5 hours time saved – 330 L (£93.30 per visit)
Housing association* – 2,500 hours saved – 330,000 L (£183,000 per visit)
Maintenance contactor* – 125,000 hours saved – 16.5m L (£7,665,000 per visit)
